An interesting quote by Freud:

"When making a decision of minor importance, I have always found it advantageous to consider all the pros and cons.  In vital matters, however, such as the choice of a mate or a profession, the decision should come from the unconscious, from somewhere within ourselves.  In the important decisions of personal life, we should be governed, I think, by the deep inner needs of our nature."

I just signed an urgent petition calling on the Chinese government to respect human rights in Tibet and dialogue with the Dalai Lama. This is really important, and I thought you might want to take action:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/tibet_end_the_violence/98.php/?cl_tf_sign=1

After nearly 50 years of Chinese rule, the Tibetans are sending out a global cry for change. Violence is spreading across Tibet and neighbouring regions, and the Chinese regime is right now making a crucial choice between tougher crackdown or dialogue.

President Hu Jintao needs to hear that "Made in China" exports and the upcoming Olympics in Beijing will have the support of the world's people only if he chooses dialogue. But it will take an avalanche of global people power to get his attention. Click below to sign the petition - in just 3 days, the campaign is almost half way to the goal of 1 million signatures!

Thank you so much for your help - forward this email to friends!

WTF.  Is finding people to interns with any social grace for your campaign that hard?!?!

I swear the same campaigns are repeatedly calling the house for people that aren't here - so I tell them either: A) they dont' live here anymore or B) They're on vacation.  BOTH of which statements are true/depending on the individual.  This is not irritating unless they call again - OR the following occurs...

The guy on the other side of the phone starts going on about "X" politicians campaign and how successful it is, and how they're fundraising etc.  Alright, well done to you sir - you learned your spiel, but I need to reiterate that you are not speaking to the intended individual.  I know you think I'm lying, but I am truly not my father (Time machines aren't invented yet, and I wouldn't uh... mess with my mom).  His response to the simple statement that I am not the person he's looking for at this point is the kicker:  "I know, I'm just sayin' that I could tell you, man."

And all I'm thinking.  What an unprofessional thing to say over the phone for a professional campaign representative.

I'm probably just tripping because I am not fully awake and am currently irritable.

Yes.  I am.
